The first step in finding your soul mate is to open yourself up to the dating world. Whether it is your first date or your first date in a long time, there are many tips to help you make a lasting impression. That in turn, will lead to another date and endless possibilities .

Women love a bad boy, but being a gentleman never goes out of style. A mix of excitement and sweetness can go a long way. Think of some interesting facts about yourself before your date. Recall the most exciting thing you have done lately. If you can not think of anything then you better get busy. Do something interesting before your date if for no other reason then to have something exciting to talk about. Also, think of some sweet questions to ask your date. Women love when a guy is interested in them, so be sure and have a lot of topics handy. Write them down on a piece of paper, read them out loud to yourself, and memorize them .

One of the most important rules of dating, on your first date or hundredth, is honesty. Be open and honest about everything you talk about. Make sure and give her a compliment, but find a sincere one. You can compliment her outfit if you like it or her sense of humor. Find something and give her a real compliment. Women find that very attractive. Show her good eye contact. That makes her feel special and the center of attention, and shows that you have nothing to hide.

Be a good listener, laugh at her jokes, Smile a lot. A smile makes a woman feel safe. It shows that you are a friendly guy and that you are enjoying her company. Remember that she is probably nervous too and your smile could be all she needs to feel at ease.

You want to make a good first impression. On the first date dress nice, but comfortable. If you are a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy, then wear a new pair of jeans and some nice shoes. Wear a good smelling cologne. If possible get a hair cut the day before, so you are feeling your best.

Bring her flowers. What a sweet way to start the date and something that will remind her of you later. Flowers are always a winner. Also, open the car door for her and pull out her chair if you go to dinner. She will remember the way you make her feel. Treat her like she is a queen.
