"A car suddenly transfoms to a gigantic robot and runs behind the human" - this scene might have mesmerized the audience around the world in the movie called "Transformer".Was director Micheal Bay predicting the future that machines will control the human society through the transformation of scientfic innovation to technological astonishment or it was just a cinematic special effect ? I will say it shows how powerful the elements become when we combine a scientific establishment with an artistic creativity. A gigantic robot is a scientific innovation and a car's transformation to a zigzag robot is an artistic thought. When these two combine , we call it a techhnology. So , I will object to the assumption that society has become controlled by technology. It's actually not technology but the human spirit , curiosity and innovative mind what has captured the society.

From the earlier days when science became the part and parcel of the day-to-day human activities , society had been seeing different innovative gadgets. Later when artistic and asthetic touch were given to it , it became more powerful , attractive. People started giving it a name "technology". When first Television came in early 60-70's , people were happy with it and gradually it became the heart of home entertainment. Now in later twenth century , when the scientific reserach on "Liquid crystal" or "Plasma" became successful , the innovation was introduced in television with a bit of asthetic sense and it became a LCD/Plasma TV. So technology is an true implementation of the right combination of science and art. If science is great but there is no artistic sense , then that is not a popular technology and can't attract the society. People will call it a failure product. A superior technology talks about high quality and quality depends on the structural elements , its look and feel , usablity and scientific research behind it. All these four elements are called a "technology". So "technology" is just an implementation of certain formulas and thoughts. So if we say the society has been taken by someone , its human itself , the human mind which constantly looks for new things.

Someone can argue that take an example of Blackberry or IPhone or Nintendo and see how much young generation is deep into it and still you won't agree that technology is behind this madness. I will say "brother" , what do you think by technology ? Is this a simple technique or tecnical implementation or something else ? Look behind first and see what's underneath a technology. It is just a sweet name but ultimately its some human who wants to sell their products by hook or by crook. So they have introduced the word "technology". If you make a IPhone look bad or without touch screen or with a complex usablity , will that survive ? I would say "no". So ultimately its not technology but constant scientific research , human innovative mind and artistic freedom what has revolutionized and controlled the society.
