Absolute?
Ideological philosophies that cause life-altering effects and philosophical realities in which consumes the secularist and the church through the ages.
In a world with no absolutes, a carefree attitude and two human eyes that seem to create reality by personal experiences, "I think not." The world is not as it seems with the west and global economy falling in demise. As a result, the negative and positive awakening will birth forth symptoms of anxiety, irrationalism and helplessness. As we in the postmodern world understand it, reason and faith become what we say and define; of course, with no true godly standard, accreditation and absolutes backing it up, only personal experiences and opinions explained through a dim and gloomy dirty pair of eyeglasses shaded by popular belief, media/TV and political referendum become reality and truth. Can the Christian church stand strong and band together in such a compromising society, a society that says, "If it feels good do it?" Can we help? Will the truth of Jesus Christ be revealed by our walk and talk? Ideological philosophies that cause life-altering effects and philosophical realities in which consumes the secularist and the church through the ages.
Briefly, there are three points to be explained: Number one, the historic development and philosophies of modernity and post modernity. Number two, the philosophies and practices of modernism and postmodernism and their effects on the Christian church. Number three, the reality of Christ's resurrection and how His accomplished and finished work on the cross might be used to transform this post modern Christian culture.
Modernity, referenced in Europe around the mid 1600's describes the social practices, power, knowledge and cultural and intellectual movements of the time. Modernity although commonly mistaken only for an original freshness was much more. It made sense to move forward in a set of rational beliefs that would provoke a great significance of change. Modernity is derived from modernism, a movement of attitude and human intervention toward the world with the idea of total social transformation based on the art of consciousness in which humanity has evolved and awakened.
Modernity initiated the progress and advancement of the sciences and arts. Man feels a great sense of self worth and meaningfulness. Man now has this newfound outlook on life and supposed clear vision toward the world. Nothing is too difficult and this world needs the intervention
