The best reasons to continue writing on your blog

There are many reasons to have a blog. If you have one, you know that sometimes you can let days go by without writing on it. This does not serve you or your blog. It's important to continue writing on your blog. Here are some of the reasons:

1. If your blog is any good and you have let people know that it is there, you probably have followers. Some have joined your mailing list and are waiting for your next post. One of the main reasons to continue writing on your blog is that if you discontinue writing, you'll lose your followers.

2. Many people use their blogs to boost sales in their businesses. If you write a blog to pull in customers, it's important to continue to write. Theoretically, customers turn to your blog for valuable information about your products. The information you provide probably helps them make decisions about what to buy. If you discontinue writing on your blog, those people may turn to your competitors for that information and ultimately for their purchases.

3. Perhaps you write on your blog but your writing is very inconsistent. Does this tell your fans or customers that you don't care all that much about the activity? Why should they care about your blog if you don't?

4. Many people deliver some type of service to the public rather than sell products. If your blog is a way of describing and creating a need for your services, it will work against you to stop writing on your blog. Continue to write on your blog and chat with those who read it. Make them feel welcome and even start conversations through the Comments section. If the blog becomes interactive and there are enough postings to keep your followers happy, your blog will help you make part-time followers into loyal followers.

5. A blog is a way to give extra customer service to your customers and to give them a forum to tell you what they think. As the business owner, you don't have to implement all of their suggestions, but you just might find some valuable ones that will help you in the long run. Also, you can use it to promote discounts and hear what your customers have to say about the way you are running your business. Customers are valuable resources to your business. Continue writing on your blog and continue to encourage them to tell you what they think.

6. Not all blogs are about businesses. Many are put up by artists, writers, family members to share their latest projects. In addition to those who know you, you may also have others who follow you because you write an interesting blog. In all cases, it is important to continue to write on your blog so that you don't let down your followers.

You don't have to write long postings daily. You can break it up by putting some short entries on and one long one occasionally. That might help you keep up with continuing to write on your blog.
