In most of the forums and youtube I am known as oldgamerchick. Yep been gaming since the days of Pong. Boy, wasn't that a boring game? I have played on everything and find PC gaming to be my all time favorite. I know the consoles are catching up and trying to provide the extended ram and graphics, but upgrading your PC is way easier in my humble opinion.

Most of the game manufacturers these days are making PC versions of their games so your selections for different types and titles is amazing. Personally I am more into the RPG type games "Morrowind" being one of my all time favorites. Bethesda was brilliant in making it possible for the gamer to create mods for the game. I had hours and hours of fun downloading new mods and using them in my game.

Three years ago I finally tried my first MMORPG "Guild Wars". I had intended to buy "Oblivion" but my poor PC was not up to the task so I debated which new game to try, I was not about to buy a new system just for one game. I have been hooked ever since. The game itself is amazing, but the community is way out there as far as cool is concerned. Arena Net is always coming up with new mods to make the game fun and fresh while we all wait, chomping at the bit for GW 2.

One of the main reasons I like PC's games better is there are no boundaries except what your system can handle. This is fairly easy to fix with upgrades. The freedom to multi task while in game is also a big plus, for example while doing a quest or mission you may need to look at a map, minimize your screen and hope online to find what you need. How cool is that.

Saved games are often a problem with consoles that have little room for such things, not with PC's. I can save games, video clips, screen shots and tons of other fun things with no problem. Then when I am done with my game I can use "Movie Maker" to document missions and such to share with my friends, so easy and all on the same machine...sweet.

Expense, hmmm spend what $300 dollars for a console or add a few bucks for a basic system I can customize that will not only play my games but also, store resumes, 15 + gigs of music, do online banking, surf the net, and anything else my little heart desires. Not to mention the sound factor wow can my PC crank out some tunes or what, nice Bose speakers make a big difference.

The last great thing about PC versus consoles is the actual machine itself. Consoles you get what the manufacturer gives you. With PC's you have tons of options as to looks and performance. You can add so many lights you have to worry about planes landing in your back yard, or you can customize your machine for going to LAN parties. There is no end to the possibilities as to style and size. Are you console users jealous yet...you should be. Have a nice day.
