With the economy the way it is, and most workers either laid off or having their hours cut. We barely have enough money to make the day to day bills, let alone for those emergencies like car repairs, or buying a new refrigerator when the old one gives up the ghost. So what are we do when we need extra cash in a hurry? Luckily, there are still some ways to make some quick cash fairly easily, if you use a little imagination and creativity. Here are just a few ways to make that extra cash with little or no investment.

1. Buying and reselling the contents of storage sheds is one good way to make a fair amount of cash quickly. Depending on your initial investment you can make anywhere from a couple of hundred dollars to a couple of thousand.

Every day people rent storage units, place and their possession in them for safe keeping. Many times, these people do not pay the storage fees and the storage rental owners are forced to auction off the contents of these units in order to recoup their loses and clear the units for paying customers. Most of these storage places hold auctions open to the public, generally in the late spring and early summer. Depending on the contents of each unit you can purchase on from anywhere from ten to hundred dollars.Two years ago my husband purchased one for a mere $30.00. It contained a variety of household items including a king size bed with the mattresses still in the original packaging, and some jewelry making supplies. It also contained an antique organ speaker is fair condition. He then listed the organ speaker on Ebay and sold it for $600.00, the bed he sold to a friend for who was looking for a king size bed for $50.00 and much of the household stuff we sold in a rummage sale netting an additional $75.00. For his initial $30.00 investment we made a profit of $695.00 in just one week!

2. Rummage sales are also another way to make good additional cash fairly quickly and easily. While most rummage sales do not net thousands of dollars it is possible to net a couple of hundred, depending on where you live and what you have to sell. Not too bad of an income for a couple of days work.

3. If you have good writing skills, the Internet is a fairly easy way to make added income. Though it does take time to and effort to find a site that fits your writing skills and the money can be slow in accumulating. People who are good at web designs will find the opportunities more available and can make decent money.

4. The fourth method is to simply find a service you can provide and that someone needs and is willing to pay for. A few years ago I met this professional couple through my church, who liked good food, but due to their working situation rarely cooked. Each week they were buy the food, and give me a menu from which I would make up dishes that could be frozen and microwaved for them. They had decent well balanced meals, saved on eating out expenses and I made a tidy little sum for doing something I was good at and loved doing. It was a win/ win situation for all of us.
I also know people who visit local colleges and type term papers, dissertations, and other papers that students badly need charging anywhere from fifty cents to a dollar a page. While still others have made money as tutors.

Making extra money, to help in these tough times can be easy if you know where to look, and use a little imagination and forethought.
