Where to find out about religions

Depending on what your reason and intention is for searching out information on a religion should determine the path that you should take for finding answers. Everyone has a different perspective on what religion really is and what God really means to them and that is why we see so many different sects and even conflict in all types of religions. If you are a genuine truth seeker it is best for you to start your own individual search at the source. If you are new to spirituality or anything that has to do with religion in general, you want to go directly to God in prayer, in whatever way, thru whatever Deity or concept that best fits your own description of God and ask for the revelation that you need to get you on the right track. If your heart is intent and you are a determined seeker, the answer will be provided for you plain and simple and the guidance will be there. Once you have found and established a connection to the God within you, it is best to start reading and practicing anything that can magnify the connection that you have with God. With that being said, scripture, prayer, fasting and an individual search to different religious organizations, to find out and get a feel for what really fits and speaks to you is not a bad idea to start with. However, you want to be on guard to not get lured in to any one organization that claims to have all the truth, all the answers, or any religion that emphasizes anything to do with division or segregation or fear mongering to obide by certain religious teachings or dogma. For the most part and what we see on a world wide basis is the primary influence being that of division and separation brought about by certain belief systems, rules, and interpretation of texts and scriptures that are always someone elses version of what is written. You have to be able to analyze and interpret what is true for you, think for yourself, in any religion, take what you feel resonates with your being, and leave the rest, until your desire comes to seek out additional information and understanding, then move on, to other sources, and never limit yourself to any potential source of information, for every part of your life and every piece of information, and every encounter, is a step closer to understanding what and who you are and who God is in relation to you. God is not limited to one holy text and one religion and has created everything for a reason, so never limit yourself or your beliefs because a religion or religious group
