Why love hurts so much

Leftovers in little boxes

"In the same bag?" That's what they always said when we asked to get our leftovers wrapped. "No" was always the reply. I had a sneaking suspicion that our leftovers would never be in the same bag. A feeling, though I wished the opposite, that nothing was close to changing. I think it's like the same way a dog knows its going to die and goes and hides under a porch or in the woods to die alone, not to be morbid or anything.

Its not like your Pad Kee Mow (no basil) was going to attack my Chicken Curry creating an all out leftovers civil war in the bag with a big yellow smiley that said "Thank You" in giant letters.

I wondered how many times in your past you answered yes to that question. "Yes the same bag." I wonder if you could even count something like that. Or if you ever thought about how it's weird that they even ask. Like they are prying into your personal life.

I wondered if I will ever answer yes to that question.

The last time we ate together, funnily enough, they put it in the same bag without asking.
But by the time I got the chance to eat my leftover Chicken Chow Fun you were already gone.
