Poetry: Romantic pain

by Michelle Brutvan

Created on: May 05, 2009   Last Updated: May 06, 2009

You went away, you left my side

I will not weep, I will not cry.

I'm done with abandonment, I've felt it too much

I'm going forth another day without missing your touch.

You've hurt me too much, it's been overdone.

I'm repairing now, I need to be alone.

If you ever find that you are capable of love, or even of romance

Maybe I'll be here for you, to continue our dance.

But don't hold your breath, don't even try

For I won't allow you to ever again make me cry.
