Dieting is one of the hardest things to accomplish especially when you are a mom of three with a desk job calling at you into the wee hours of the night. The following are some tips to get you out of the hum-drum sloppy rut, and into the Summer bikini body mom look.
1. Drink plenty of water.
Many people confuse hunger with thirst. Water is a great way to cleanse the body and get healthy all at once. If you are not that into H2O, squeeze a little lemon into the mixture and add great flavor. The best thing about water is its totally free. So, next time you have a hunger pain, try drinking water and see if it curves the hunger for a little while.
2. Post progress pictures.
Make your refridgerator a scrap book. Take a photo of your body in a two piece bathing suit and post it on your refridgerator each week. This will help you feel confident that you are making progress and it will help to stop you from grabbing for junk food when you reach into the fridge.
3. Choose alternative sugars.
Before you grab for the choclate, think about how tasty a juicy peach or plum would tease your tastebuds.
4. Make excercise a daily.
Attention super moms, you missed the thirty minute work out this morning due to lack of sleep from midnight bottle feedings. Yes, it is hard to stick with something that seems so petty when you have fifty other things on your to do list, but when you excercise for only thirty minutes a day, you feel better, and you are able to be a better you.
5. Have a support group.
Most people do not enjoy doing anything alone. Talk to some of your friends and see if they will diet with you. If you feel like you are stressed out and just need to eat, go out with friends and dance. This will help you to hold back from the food, and it will give you a chance to burn off some extra calories.
6. Take a walk.
Walking is one of the best ways to lose weight. Walking also gives you a chance to reflect on the days events and think about everything that lies ahead.
7. Make it a family affair.
Of coarse, it is not easy to munch on just a bowl of lettece when the rest of the family is eating fried chicken and mac and cheese. If you are the cook of the family, take on some grilled dishes and steamed vegetables. This not only helps you choose healthy, it makes your whole family healthier
8. Do not eat late.
Give your body a few hours to digest your food before bed. Eating late or right before bed can leave your body with a low matabolism and even an upset stomach for the next day.
9. Set your
