Want the best comfort for you dollar? Want a stylish mouse that can handle the trickiest hand movement thrown at it? Want something stylish that also incorporates many useful functions on it? Well stop your search now, because you have just have read an outline of the amazing Sidewinder Mouse from Microsoft. Gamers all over the world are always in constant lookout for the best hardware. Quad core, 16 GB of ram, 24" LCD screen, Tri-SLI video cards, water cooling what does all that mean if you can't play your games at your best? Having the right mouse and keyboard always put a gamer over the rest.

Microsoft's Sidewinder variety is made especially for gamers, but it will always impress even the pickiest user, being a gamer or not. It is bigger than an average mouse, which suites most people. I personally have a big hand, and the first time I placed my hand on this mouse it felt like a glove. It comes in black and red, black being the base color, having a red stripe down the middle, two red LEDs on the bottom (as a under shadow), red-lighted DPI switches (3 of them, which are programmable), a metal scroll wheel, 2 silver forward and back buttons, and a macro button (which is used to set any button on your mouse to do whatever function you want. Also where the middle of your palm is it a hard-to-press-by-accident button that is used to open up the games folder in Windows Vista nice touch eh?

This is a corded mouse, which support up to 2000 DPI sensitivity which can be set by the driver software that comes with the mouse. To know your current sensitivity in DPI, all you have to do is take a peak down at your mouse. It has a small red-backlit LCD screen that shows your DPI setting, as well as shows your programming stage in the macro setting button.

Aside from all the technical stuff, the mouse is amazingly light. But for the gamers out there which like to have a heavier brick to move around, there is hope! Included, comes a small, heavy box which has a double use of containing the accessories included and as a wire holder for the mouse, so that it stays where you tell it to. Inside the box you will find: 4 weights (3x10 grams and 1x5 grams) as well as 3 sets of plastic feet (5 of each). The weights are used for personal preference, while the 3 sets of 5 feet are used for sliding purposes. Different people like it for their mouse to move at different speeds and at different smoothness. The different feet have different roughness on their sliding side. To insert the weights, you simply take your mouse look for a small button under your mouse, making sure you are holding your mouse so that the weight holder will fall (due to gravity!). You just click in the weights you want, and viola you have a heavier/lighter mouse. Trust me 30 grams can make a BIG difference (it only had 3 spots to put weights).

The mouse had an invisible laser as a tracking device. It uses two lasers to tract the movement of your hand, and with that it can report 7080 times per second to your computer through a USB 2.0 interface. The mouse is rated to be able to withstand 9 million clicks. It is very, very fast and very durable! Having the first LCD on a mouse, being able to customize the glide on your mouse, having customizable macro buttons at the touch of a button (while in the game), adding and taking off weights from the mouse, the shape and performance all add up to create a outstanding accessory for any user!
