We moved in a year ago to my aunt's three-storey house when I got married, since nobody lived there and that house has been vacant for several months already.
The original owner of the lot that my aunt purchased belonged to our neighbor now who's house is directly behind our house. It was being sold to my aunt when I was still very young. I know the history since I grew up with my aunt. The former owner of the lot has been very nice upon the sale of their estate and that they are so happy that my aunt will be constructing a house on that particular lot months after it's purchased. But we were really surprised upon their actions when the construction has already been started. They suddenly got mad at my aunt and uncle acting as if they still own the property. They do harsh things to the builders on site, like throwing garbage inside the construction and saying foul words to them. So to stop the fuss, my uncle talked to them and asked what their problem was since, the lot has been purchased legally and that they already have the proceeds. They were so mad at my uncle saying that they don't want their house behind the new constructed house. The husband of our weird neighbor started picking up something hard and hit my uncle with it. Because of what they have done, we filed a case against them and that a written agreement was issued that they are no longer allowed to do anything stupid to our property anymore, which they gladly accepted since i knew that they were scared of imprisonment for physical injuries. That happened a few years back.
Now we are living on the same house I mentioned and we have observed that they are still acting weird to our other neighbors, but not anymore to us. There was this one incident that my weird neighbor's husband has been shouting to another neighbor's house. Later on we discovered from our other neighbors that the weird neighbors we have had been acting like they own the entire property they could see. And that they are acting tough because they don't have the financial capacity to support their claim. And that no one in the neighborhood really likes them. Some of the people around doesn't want to have a any connection with them knowing that anytime they will cause trouble.
One night there were motorcycle riders who passed by in front of our house and they almost had an accident since our weird neighbor's dog has been lying on the road. Instead of asking if the motor riders are OK and safe, she shouted at them telling them not to pass by on the same road since they own it. I was so shocked that she is more concern on the dog's welfare.
I was just wondering why are they acting like that. They are acting as if they are the most influential person in the neighborhood even if no one really likes them. Anyway, I don't anymore pay attention to them, no matter how loud their voices are when they are shouting at our other neighbors or at themselves, since people have already learned to ignore them. As long as they are not bugging us anymore. I am just hoping and praying that they would leave our other neighbors alone. And instead of being mean, they can just be friendly, because in case of emergency the easiest person you can call on is always the ones living beside you, your neighbors.
