Poetry: Hair

by Dondria Cooper

Why is it that you're so hard to fix?

I can't seem to get you to break the kinks that mix

Combing, brushing, washing, blow drying

Does not stop the crying

That I display because of the pain you cause

When I get you fixed just to pause

The dry look of display is sad

To see so I get a renew sense of becoming bad

Cutting you off of my life making every one mad

Because you were long and thick

But I'm glad you're gone like quick

Causing me all that pain and grief

Although I thought I would love you brief

I sort of miss the way you hang

Giving me that ending bang
