One thing that I have learned over the years about dieting is it is a battle that will soon end no matter what or when you start. Dieting is temporary unless you fill it in your life forever.
You must remember if you want to lose weight and keep it off you cannot say diet. Diets are only temporary and we all want that high in sugar, or greasy food that just makes us feel as if we got a big hug with a smile. To stand on the scale later and feel regret of that high sugar and greasy food with a hug that soon turned from a smile into fat. You must make a life change not a temporary change.
I am someone who struggled with my weight most of my life but I do know of loosing and keeping it off.
First, and for most you must be ready to make a life change and it does not have to be something so drastic you feel you are loosing anything. Portioning foods and the time of day eating can be a life change. Therefore, do not eat three hours before bedtime. Making sure that what you eat at dinnertime is a full meal, for example skinless/boneless chicken breast with cheese and mash potatoes with corn yes you can add butter. Portion your size to half of what you would normally serve yourself. All you want to do is shrink your stomach so that your body will take over your eating habits. You give to your body your body will give back. That is as simple as it can get with making a life change on eating.
Yes you should always do exercise. Exercise does not have to be jumping around the house. I always hated those types of exercise routines. I found a way that fit me. Everyone should find something that fits in his or her life. My lack of wanting to exercise was just apart of me but when I would put a movie to make it family movie night for my child I would lay down on my side and do leg lifts. How hard was that? Actually, it is Very easy, I might add. While laying on my side it took no energy to do, some simple leg lifts. In addition, it worked the biggest muscle, which also burns more fat. When starting out it really took me to grab a lot of energy to try and do exercise but soon as I started doing small amounts everyday it became easier to do more. I some days had tons of energy and some I just could not have the energy for anything. I never wanted to diet they always failed. I either felt I was sacrificing foods I wanted which caused me to end up just giving in and having what I wanted and then I ended my dieting. I had days I did not want to exercise and eat something either fatty
