One of the best things about growing old is earning the privilege to enjoy life on earth for a long period of time. One of the worst things about growing old is not recognizing yourself when looking in a mirror. You don't feel old - so why do you look old? Well...You don't have to. You can give yourself a younger look instantly without spending a lot of money and have fun in the process! Below are five inexpensive tips to a younger you that let you enjoy yourself through a younger looking you transition.

Method One - Start by sprucing up you hair. Dull, limp hair filled with streaks of gray or white has the word old written all over it. Having a local stylist color your hair isn't that expensive and you can update your hairstyle while you're at it. However, if you're brave enough, you can save more by purchasing inexpensive hair dying products from a discount store and then dying and cutting your hair yourself.

Method Two - Update your makeup. If you don't wear makeup, you might want to start. Either way, you can update your facial appearance by reshaping your eyebrows. Don't like plucking them yourself - have them plucked, waxed or threaded by a mall aesthetician before stopping in a favorite store to update your wardrobe. You can get your eyebrows done for just a few dollars without making an appointment.

If you do wear makeup, still go ahead and have your eyebrows done if they need it. In addition, stop at your favorite department store, sit down at a stool in the cosmetic department, and let a cosmetics sales associate make your face over. Let the associate try different colors and application techniques until you feel happy with one. Then purchase products you like so you can imitate the process yourself at home.

Method Three - Facials - One thing you might do before that makeover is get or give yourself a facial. A facial could work wonders at restoring a younger look if your skin is dry and luster is no place to be seen on it. Facial products are available in cosmetic sections of most discount stores. If you're open to trying at home facial remedies, oatmeal based facials have been popular for years.

Method Four - Now...Did I mention updating your wardrobe? Well, yeah...If you haven't bought new frocks in ages - pun intended - your clothes are probably contributing to your old look. Buy some new ones. Start with four new outfits and then buy an outfit a week until you're satisfied with your new closet. It's hard to walk into a clothes store without sales these days and the same goes for shoes.

By the way, while purchasing those new duds, better stop in the lingerie department and get some uplifting braziers and tummy flatteners. There's no sense in buying new attire and then sagging all over the place while wearing it. In fact, giving your bust a lift and flattening your stomach can help even before you update that old wardrobe.

Method Five - Nails - Nails can almost always use a little help. If your hands are in bad shape go for a manicure. Mall manicures are not that expensive and you can get gems or designs in tips for your nails if you want. But if you prefer, go to a discount store and get a current nail polish color and manicure your nails at home - toenails too!

Taking the foregoing steps will make you look and feel younger in a short amount of time and without spending a lot of money. So go on...Get that younger youthful look today!
