18. The "Give"
If you hit a day or two every month that is just not working out you may need to give. This is not a slip-up, this is a give. You need to realize that days will come where you may just need to give. Just keep your "gives" in check!
19. Journal
Keeping a journal can help you stay focused on your goals. Journals allow you to see how you've changed! They are the best motivators because it shows you: you CAN change!
20. Track Your Progress!
Never track your progress on a daily basis. It is not helpful and can end up causing you to lose your motivation. Tracking your progress on a weekly basis will let you see how far you've come. Things you should track are: 1. Weight; 2. Dress size; 3. How many days you've stuck to the meal plan; 4. Incentives; and whatever else you want to keep an eye on.
No matter what, if you do these steps in order and do them sincerely, they should not only help you lose that annoying weight, but do wonders in supporting you to keep it off for good! Don't try to sprint your way to losing weight and getting your health back, but run a slow and steady race. It is the only way you will reach your weight loss goals and when you reach your goals you'll feel better than you have in years!
