I have experimented with a great many Blog hosting platforms around the Web over a period of years and have finally come to the concludion that Blogger, Google's Blog hosting system, is the one which offers the best round value to the blogger, virtually regardless of what their requirements may be. This is for a number of reasons which I will look at in greater depth below.
There are a great many Blog hosting platforms upon which even the most successful bloggers are inadvertently breaking the hosting company's rules by including such as Google AdSense or affiliate products for sale upon their Blogs. Many of these sites - for reasons known only to themselves - prohibit one or more of these practises and bloggers are running the risk of having their hugely successful Blog deleted altogether and finding themselves banned from the site. This could of course mean that a large amount of quality work, representing a great deal of invested time, is obliterated without trace.
Blogger does not have any such restrictions. Bloggers on the site are actively encouraged to display Google ads on their site and to sell products from such as eBay or Amazon to secure affiliate sales. This of course has the benefit of potentially generating income for the blogger and of assisting to draw traffic to the site to the benefit of the platform itself and its owner, Google.
The tools provided for us to use on Blogger are very simple to use and varied in the extreme. When we fist click on to the site, we are offered the options to take a tour of it and to explore its features. This is always a good idea for anyone unfamiliar with Blogger as of course different platforms have different tools avaiable and different ways in which same may be utilised. It does not take long to peruse the site in this way and it is a very beneficial activity.
When we are posting on Blogger, we do so in a very simple fashion, either by selecting to make a new post or to edit our existing posts. We can add photographs within the body of any text simply by clicking on the relevant tool on our dashboard and also have access to such as bold and italic text.
The side panels or header and footer panels on Blogger are the ones which allow us to include such as RSS feeds, HTML coding for affiliate products and even textual and link lists. It is again a very valuable exercise simply to spend some time looking through the various options contained here.
Blogger enjoyrs great popularity with the search engines as a Blog hosting platform, probably most particularly because it is owned by Google. This means that a quality Blog on Blogger stands a boosted chance of securing quality traffic from around the Web.
Blogger does not pay us as such dependant upon for example the number of visitors we receive to our Blog but the options it affords us to earn indirectly from such as AdSense and affiliate products mean that it is more than possible to earn a decent income on an ongoing basis from a properly monetised Blogger page.
