We are a society with our lives being internet capable, which opens doors for so many predators to our children. Child porn is serious and dangerous for children in our society in the year 2009. I am a proud parent of three and I believe as a parent that there should be a no tolerance rule of probation, second chances for any offender of this statue. We as a society have a dilemma of teens sending nude photos of themselves to other teens. Bringing up criminal charges against teens that show another student pictures from another teen. I believe this is so horribly wrong. We are suppose to protect our children from predators now we are going to label our children as predators, no this is wrong.

Look the big picture here we are missing is we are dealing with children and children will be children. I understand how these parents from both sides can feel. When I was a child, looking at my neighbors nudey magazines was a thing I did and it was funny. My own brother took a magazine to junior high school to show off his nudey magazine to his friends. A boy being a boy is what was told twenty years ago. why has it changed, because of our internet capability. Now with sexting people want to bring serious criminal charges against a child. What has changed those children twenty years ago when a boy being a boy to now us putting criminal charges against him?

The young girls who send the pictures are being children also and yes, wrong decision but being prosecuted for making a mistake in my eyes is definitely wrong. Embarrassed yes, But there is a lot more to these children that no one is realizing they are children acting like children.

A young girl takes a picture of herself she does it because it made her happy to be bad for a boy. I was there many years ago and yes there was not the internet or cell phone capability yes. I would have done the same stupid thing and regretted it later. As for the boy, he is so excited he has a naked picture of a girl he has to show his friends. The problem I have seen time and time again is we all have been what I would call the goofy kid doing something stupid for kicks. Adults grow up and forget what it was like to be a child. I use to knock on doors and run, again so I am politically correct for 2009, I will not say what all kids were calling that action. Prank calling strangers, which stopped with caller id. I Toilet papered houses. Cause destruction on some old abandon place. I am an adult would I agree with those things now of course
