Each morning when I awake I have the belief that I am living and enjoying the best time of my life. I believe I am where I am meant to be and that God will greatly enrich my day with His abundant blessings.
Each day I carve outnow' minutes throughout the day where I cease all activity and bask in whatever is happening. I take time to explore my inner self and give rein to all my senses.
I Keep a journal of my "happy times" so that I can look back and reflex on them each day; this allows me to refuel my spirit and to get some perspective about where I should be and reflection about what is going on in my life. It also allows me to realize that happiness is an acquired characteristic and reflecting on happy times is a first step in preparing myself to be happy throughout the day and possibly the remainder of my life.
Each day I try to remember and to savor long forgotten passions and I try to imagine them happening again, even if they were sprinkled with moments of despair. I seek a balanced life because I know it will not always be about picnics on sunny days, but when I prepare for the ants and the rain, I can still have a pretty nice time.
Each day I slow my breathing and I take time to listen to the steady rhythm of your own heart. I give thanks for all that I have and for being alive to enjoy the moment I am experiencing. In these quiet times of reflections, I give thanks and reflect on what is important to me.
Each day I resolve to keep my arms and my heart open because I believe blessings are manifested in unimaginable ways through folks and through opportunities I may never have dreamed possible.
Each day I take a 30 minute walk during which I try to discern all that is going on around me by fully engaging all my senses. I allow myself to feel the air on my skin, to listen to the cacophony of sounds made by man and nature; I view nature's tapestry of colors and its panoramic vistas; and I breathe in the amalgamation of scents of nature. This all tells me I am alive and all is well with me. There is nothing on television or elsewhere that can ever compare to these natural gifts.
Each day I commit to putting God first as He is the force that keeps my life in balance. These are my daily habits and they afford me more than enough time to do all the things I need to do. Life is good.
