Coming into Super Bowl weekend, the debates are heating up. Can Manning prevail again? Is this the Bears year of destiny? Such questions fill the conversations near the coffee machines at most companies around the nation.

My predictions this year cover more than the game. The Super Bowl is much more than the game. It is a national event with that overlaps several boundaries.

So, my top three predictions are:

Commercials this year will include at least one that is deemed inappropriate by the critics. They will have one with an animal doing something so unexpected that people will laugh about it for days afterward. A beer commercial will be the best one.

Super Bowl and tailgate parties will begin erupting on Friday night as people can't wait to get their party on. Many chickens will lose their lives so their wings can be covered in a spicy sauce and served to raucus party goers.

Finally, I almost forgot. The Bears will grind down the Colts during the first half and go into the locker room with at least a touch down lead. The Colts will come out with fire in the eyes and open the second half with a major surge and gain the lead. Ultimately, the Bears will win 43-35.

If I do as well with this as I did with the playoffs, you can delete 1/2 of the foregoing. You can pick which half. (of course there are three, so?)
