frightening forces in the world.
Fringe is not simply CSI Paranormal though. There is a long running, intriguing story arc centered around this thing called The Pattern. The threat of an invasion of some strange, secretive group or force of the human race is imminent. All around them there are nefarious charaters and corporations conducting clandestine and frightening science experiments on both animals and humans; doing things to human and animal DNA previously unheard of. The viewers are left wondering along with agent Dunham: Why? Why are these strange things happening? What could be the reason? Who or what is behind them? Not everything is as it seems, nor is everyone as they seem. Everywhere Olivia turns she has to keep her guard up. People she once trusted may or may not be on her side. The plot incorporates interesting things like the Golden Mean, Fibonacci Sequence, genetic manipulation and all kinds of fringe science to weave a wild, intriguing ride. Fringe is definitely a show for thinkers but it is also a show for those who like action. It can also be a bit gory at times. It has something for all kinds of viewers. Fringe is not for the lazy, nor is it for the faint of heart. but perhaps the most important thing about Fringe is that it provokes questions about the ethical implications of scientific advancement without rules, moral laws or conscience.
