Nonsense
politicians don't lie,
promises a pigs eye,
to do or try,
we know why,
mothers cry,
life a lie,
we never die
the rich get poorer,
the poor get richer,
they call you mister,
meet an alien visitor,
better odds with a twister
sale means craving
taxing promotes saving,
bathing then shaving,
road workers paving,
preachers raving,
neighbors waving
the economy is sound,
taxes equal all around
the President crowned,
craters upside down mounds,
job security, solid ground
education improving,
students deluding
teachers intruding,
nothing profound,
archaic sound
foolishness abound,
unstable ground,
wherever nonsense is found

GOOD GRIEF
If elephants wore cardboard shoes
And tigers tails were full of holes
If kangaroos could learn the waltz
And monkey

Beans And Cornbread
Baby, we might not be, the kind of folk
Who live on steak and taters,
Beans and cornbread, ain't too bad
Neither
Jabber some my say
But my sensible non-sense has its way
To get the point across
Ritalin they could use
To make this sensible
by T.C Leonard
The Name Game
I met a lady in a bar
A lady with a plan
And when I asked her for her name
She said, "Anita Mann."
I said, "I'm
Tonight I'll wake
to see the sun
And say "good morning"
to everyone.
I'll comb my teeth
and floss my hair
Put on my ski suit
