Dark Knight is a mind blowing creation and adaptation of the classic batman comic book series. Though it doesn't follow the real batman comic tales , but it has it's own flavor and originality. The film is a combination of some nicely interconnected characters fighting for justice and protesting against the crime and cruelty. Director Christopher Nolan was highly successful in putting a popular comic story through the eye of an immensely complex and brutal human face called "joker". Joker is the villain in the movie but still it shares the equal importance and screen presence with the hero "Batman". Without him , Batman is nothing and without "batman" , joker is incomplete. So the two characters were portrayed in such a compelling and clear way that the audience was mesmerized seeing the movie called "The Dard Knight". The whole package was a cinematic beauty starting from script , characterization , filming . photography , sound , editing. It was the strength of a good cinema that enthralled the audience through out the world. So its success was written long before the movie was released. I really appreciate the role played by Heath Ledger for "joker" , the masked , brutal , cruel face which constantly threatens the Batman and people in the Gotham city as well as his own rival gangs. I can't think of any other actor playing that role after seeing Heath. Heath was really inevitable and indispensable for the movie. The movie had received much publicity due to the curiosity created around the role "joker". Everyone had waited to see the new villain of cinema and judge whether it is a hype or real. Therefore , there was already a heat in the air.

Now Heath Ledger's death had intensified the heat. It made people more curious about Heath's role. It was also heard after his death that Heath had put a real hard effort in portraying the role for "joker" , a true pshychopath and that made him disturbed. He had been engrossed within the character so deeply that the role put some effect on him also.

So , Heath's death had obviously contributed to the success of the film and making it the biggest hit in 2008. But the elements in the film were so strong and everybody performed their part so perfectly , that it was an obvious hit without Heath's death. I believe people love good cinema. People go to a film looking at its cast and crew. So I have no doubt , a film with a brilliant director like Christopher Nolan , strong actors like Christian Bale , Maggie Gyllenhaal , Aaron Eckhhart , Morgan Freeman , Gary Oldman and last but not the least Heath Ledger , would be Hollywood block bluster , no matter if it wouldn't had been effected by some emotional instance.

This is my tribute to a great yet young , talented and charming actor "Heath Ledger". Heath will always be in everyone's heart and in the Hollywwod's memory lane.He is no more with us but I pray to God to keep his soul in peace.
