The T.V. to me is one of the best inventions ever. Just like the other writers on this website have stated I also love to think back to the days when my parents, sisters, and I watched a weekly show or a good movie. Mom would always say that people watch too much television but I didn't agree with her on this. I look at T.V. as a great teacher especially now with all of the educational shows for children and adults.

The wildlife educational shows are really good and the show on how things are made is a good one. T.V. gets a bad wrap but I think that it brings people together just like reading books. You can watch a good program together and discuss it later. Where else can you have that much entertainment for a virtually low price. Some people complain about shows that are unsuitable for children but you have the option to turn the channel. I think it's better for children to watch a good T.V. program than possibly get into trouble somewhere.

Most decorators put the television in an entertainment center so you can close the doors and pretend like you don't own a T.V. for fear that someone may think that you may not be as hip as you would like people to think that you are. I like my television to be the vocal point of my room center stage because it feels like my own little movie screen and now they have beautiful television sets that you can purchase that enhance the look of a room. Watching T.V. is a great escape from the everyday stresses of life. You can watch something comical and for that moment at least it puts you in a good mood.

Things come easily these days for most people as far as owning televisions. Years ago when the T.V. suddenly stopped working most families would become depressed about it. The cost for repairs, the weight of carrying a huge T.V. to the repair shop, and who knows when it would be fixed. Now most people have at least two or more T.V.s in their homes and if one goes out they quickly buy a new one.

A lot of good memories come from watching shows together. Like the Friends show that used to come on - it was such a phenomenom at the time that people had parties and watched the show together.

Some people would say what would everyone do without their television set. Everyone would survive but the T.V. just makes life a little bit better sometimes just like the computer, cell phone, and other electronic things that make live easier and more fun for everyone.
