A goal may be defined, as a state of affair, that a plan is intended to achieve, and when achieved it terminates the ideal or behavior intended to achieve it. Goal actualization in any organization can not be over emphasized. The reasons are based on the fact that for any organization, business or enterprise to survive the daily challenges out there, there must be a unifying force of cooperation, zeal, selfless service and commitment.
An organization where there is no goal oriented interest, may be described as a "toothless bull dog". Any enterprise that fails to recognize the need of what it takes to be goal focused may just be making a big mistake as to what is intended.The conceptual ideal of planning a suitable goal oriented activities should be readily embraced and put in place to actualize the stated objectives.
For an individual, organisation, or enterprise to be goal oriented, there must be an actualization need. Self Actualization Need According to Abraham Maslow, is the "quest to be become the best of what you can be". By putting in personal efforts and self improvement in every facet of life using one powerful and striking knowledge of our abstract imaginations. Secondly, setting the pace for a successful actualization of one's needs. A goal setter should set the pace, draft out set objectives by initiating business or activities. One's attitude towards a goal oriented action, may determine his altitude so therefore, for a goal to be achieved, a goal setter should take his attitude towards his goal.
Team spirit is also one of the attributes of actualizing a set goal. Team spirit is the mannerism of people towards their business, this simply mean working cooperatively or in unison, it may promote the activities of one towards meeting his set objectives and goals. In a situation where workers in an establishment or enterprise, lack the attitude towards working independently or cooperatively in an atmosphere of team spirit, "esprit de corp", may hinder the actualization of a set goal.
Criticism, can also be a motivating factor to the actualization of the goal, in a positive or negative way. For any goal oriented course, the process involved in actualizing the goal of a business enterprise, should directly emanate from the individuals i.e., those that set the pace(the goal setter).This enables him to critically assign responsibilities to workers. If workers are duly involved in goal oriented activities. Their judgment of the activities involved to the actualization of the goal may be of the high side in the negative direction.
In this regard, workers opinion, which include critic and judgment, selfless service, and cooperative abilities should be initiated in business.
