Poetry: Secret love

by Belinda Southwark

Created on: April 30, 2009

In the deepest part of my heart, in the deepest part of my soul, there my love for you lies.

My open adoration, my open affection, the true strength of my love is veiled.

As I stare into your eyes, your dark, sad, mysterious eyes,

I fall, and I cannot stop myself, I love you.

Your smile, genuine, warming, perfect,

It illuminates the world surrounding us.

My heart sighs, and my soul cries, twisting beneath the veil, chained and hidden.

But I think you know, deep down inside.

You can see it in my eyes, in my smile, in my soul,

Because only you could lift the veil, only you could unlock the chains,

Only you could make me feel this way.
