Twenty years, but not yet born;
I simply could not see
Twenty years; my soul was torn
Not knowing who to be
Then wisdom knocked upon my door
To open up my eyes
Twenty years, but not one more;
Suddenly, I cry
My perspective seems brand new
I finally can see
To myself, I now am true
I finally am "me"
This revelation has drained my mind
I suddenly feel numb
The emotion felt is one of a kind
It's nice to not feel dumb
