Charge It!
Perhaps the best way to describe San Diego is to take a look at the San Diego Chargers' sideline on a typical Sunday afternoon: The team, known for its blend of power, speed, aggressiveness, talent, coolness, and style, is usually displaying its incredible camaraderie as teammates and coaches enjoy each other's company, as the team revels in yet another win and looks forward to dealing with its next opponents. The only contradiction is the lightning bolt that is the team's insignia, as San Diego is known for its amazingly-beautiful, tropical weather and not significant amounts of rainfall.
Residents can go on and on telling you what a wonderful place this city is in which to live, and the only drawback people generally mention is price. Granted, many average home prices in San Diego are misleading, due to the fact that they include lavish beach houses in the compilation (which fuels that much more the ongoing debate amongst statisticians concerning whether to refer to "average" or "median"), but you get the idea: This area is arguably the most beautiful, relaxing, laid-back place in the country- very clear, very green, and extremely conducive to visiting its many beautiful beaches, rollerblading, etc., and people want to live here. Demand factors strongly into price, and if price is impeding your living here, why in the world would you not want to see what you can do now, in what is unquestionably a buyer's market?
Though many might think of this beautiful, resort-style city as having beachhouses only, rest assured that there is such a thing as a middle-income neighborhood, which absolutely is not to say that living in Del Mar, Encinitas, Luecadia, or Pacific Beach is not a good idea. Throughout Hillcrest and Kensington, for example, you can select between bungalows and Spanish-styled homes, which symbolize the area's origins, and then there's the pricier Mission Hills, known for its meticulous, manicured lawns and its upscale designs/features, not to mention its upscale presence without the presence of the unfortunate snob.
Economic infrastructure is strong in this area, as good jobs are prevalent from the state's wealth of abundant natural resources, human resources, companies vying for said human resources, etc., not to mention the increase in an already-beautiful skyline, from structures like the San Diego Padres' Petco Park, a structure worth the price of admission just to sit and admire. Furthermore, you never are far away from a strong learning institution, as in the University of Southern California, UCLA, or San Diego State University.
Back to the earlier description of the Chargers' sideline, yes, the overall body language of this team describes well the beauty of this fair city. On home games, there is no surprise that the team has a collective smile under its helmet and also no surprise that the team is so strong on the road, probably wanting to finish off an opponent as soon as possible, avoid overtime, and catch the next flight back.
Take advantage of what, again, is a buyer's market, as we look forward to answering any and all questions that you may have en route to buying your next home in beautiful San Diego.
