Living in San Francisco is not just for the hip young trendsetters; there are fantastic neighborhoods for families, cultured empty nesters, and anyone looking for a beautiful and energetic city to live in. With the housing market leaning towards the buyer, prices are at some of their lowest in years, allowing for some fantastic buys in many of the wonderful neighborhoods in the city by the bay.
Cow Hollow is a newer and trendier location close to the Golden Gate Bridge and the Embarcadero. It has a lovely main street full of healthy spas, fashionable boutiques, and tasty restaurants and coffee shops. It might sound like a spot for the young and hip, but it is a very child friendly area hosting various family events throughout the year. The beautiful old Victorians have been taken care of in this area and many are for sale at low prices ready for a nice young family to enjoy. Home prices are down almost %50 from last year's averages making this the time to get your spot in Cow Hollow.
You might think Haight-Ashbury is just for tourists and hippies, but you wont find Victorians like this anywhere else in San Francisco! These houses are true showstoppers with manicured yards and vibrant colors. The main area of Haight-Ashbury can be busy at times, but there are great restaurants and shops to enjoy which aren't just for the tourist! Parking here is at a major minimum, so finding a home with a garage or parking spot is a must. Golden Gate Park is just steps away with its expansive plants and gardens ready to be walked and enjoyed by anyone. There is always something to do or see in Haight-Ashbury! Home prices are down and you can find a 2 bedroom for around $650,000!
Noe Valley is centrally located in San Francisco giving it one of the best locations in the city. The Castro and Mission areas are close, along with parks, transit, and views. Originally a blue-collar neighborhood, these Victorians are true classics that are priced accordingly with some of the higher prices in the city. Even with many homes still close to the million dollar range, they are priced at their lowest in years. This is a great time to find a perfect house in one of the best neighborhoods in San Francisco!
Noe Valley is a location with everything at your fingertips.
San Francisco offers something for everyone! With a neighborhood for just about any demographic, it is a great place to live! Prices are at their lowest allowing for great opportunities for any kind of buyer. Take some time to look around the city for the right neighborhood and you can call San Francisco home!
