With all he, the creator of all had witnessed it surely was hurt at heart to see all his beautiful creation back before the flood decimated and ruined beyond any help. The bible itself says that mankind doesn't know in which way to turn when it comes to making decisions that affects all of mankind. Now they had to make many choices as to where they wished to live, what kind of teachings they needed, and whether or not to follow God and his righteous examples.
Hint: Man wanted the freedom of choice so now it was heaped upon them but were they ready for the challenge.
Now (Abrahm) and (Sarai) earn new names Abraham and Sarah and another promise made to them that out of their loins would come nations as many as the particles of sands in the deserts or sands on the sea shore. Abraham takes other wives under Sarah's direction since she fears it may be her fault they have no offspring so no nations were coming from them. Sarah sends away her maid servant when she finally does have children but god protects the mother and children so his prophecy concerning Abraham and Sarah will come true. If you live forever and have infinite power what you say has to come true. You just make it happen even if it takes some maneuvering because you have all the time on your hand.
Hint: Far off in the future a promised seed to save man implanted in the hearts of Israelites.
Gods still wishes his people to follow him but they keep falling into traps made by other peoples. There was a savior Shiloh to come someday and they for centuries put a strong hope in a person to come through the line of David (Israel's second king) or perhaps third. Jehovah the God of love was their first. They got so used to warring with every one as a means to make things better that even when their deliverer came they still wanted a warrior not a savior to end war.
Hint: Love conquers all.
God is love as it says in his word and because of the love he showed so many times saving a cruel and ungrateful Israel. For instance he would save them they would be good for a time and then eventually fall right back into pagan idol worship. He would not punish them himself but would allow the nations to do what they wished with them. Enslavement, abolishment or whatever else was needed to humble them and then when humbled or a certain time was up he would easily save them and give them more chances.
Hint: A god Of Love not War
We always have and always will need direction because we keep falling back just like
