When you are sleeping at night do you dream? When you take a glance into the sky and see the stars and wonder what is beyond them, do you not feel there is something more? There is something about this life which is seeking completion in something, maybe someone?
We are natural dreamers as a race and we love to invent and create endless possibilities about what can happen, what life can hold, what is beyond the stars and what or who holds the universe together. I am certain we have been made this way for a purpose.
If you even start to look at the complexity of the human body, how it works together in perfect rhythm and harmony to perform even the simple basic body functions, you would be in awe. Stuck in this awe and wonder you have to think, and start to believe, that this body is unique, designed and planned for a particular purpose. Even though we are similar biologically to some other species we are definitely set apart in a unique way. You have to, under any reasoning; come to the conclusion that this complex and intricate design that is our body must have had a designer.
Ultimately that is what I believe. We have been designed and created with purpose in mind. Who by? There only person who is able; an eternal and omnipotent God. He has not only created and fashioned us as complex and unique beings but has also given us a purpose which we as a race are continually trying to fulfil. Our purpose is to be complete. Complete in God through a living and active faith in all He and His Son has done.
We are endlessly trying to seek completion in other things. Because these other things only bring finite satisfaction we constantly strive for more. For this reason there is greed: people believe they can be complete through having it all, and when they have got they only realise it is not enough and think they need more. People are constantly trying to fill this void with a whole host of things to satisfy this longing which He has placed inside us.
God is a God of amazing love, mercy and grace. He wants to show us that daily and for us to know Him more. In our every day life God wants us to include Him in that and seek His guidance. He just wants us to depend on Him as you would depend on your father or mother. He wants us to trust Him and ultimately He just wants a loving relationship with us. And that is when we find our purpose fulfilled. We find this completion in a loving and intimate relationship with our God, Creator, Father and Friend.
I believe the Father sent His only Son to be the Saviour of the world. He sent Him to point us to the Father. And through a personal faith in His Son we can gain this relationship with our heavenly Father.
We are too complex for it to be considered we have merely came from animals and that an element of chance made us how we are today. We have purpose to seek completion through a personal relationship with God the Father which is accomplished through faith in His Son. That is what I believe.
