I read to make me happy
And sometimes the book is really sappy
Although the pages seem long
It is great to get along
With the characters in the book
Making me take a look
At my own lifestyle
Wondering if I am still alive
After reading a drama, romance novel
That gets my emotions all bothered
But that does not stop me from reading
Just inspires me to dream
Dreaming of one day being successful
Living the life rich and full
Working my way up the chain
I know its takes a little pain
To play the game of life
Instead of turning to the knife
Killing the pain I feel inside
So I go back to reading
And take it for a ride
