while he stubs
his cigarette out
underneath the seat
of a Lexus
brand new
I like him less
while racing through
stop signs
red lights
although he is in
no hurry
I cannot wait
to undress,
alone, at home
he takes sharp corners
unnecessary risks
turning to him
laughing
my eyes promise
as my body
repulsed
wants
escape
only he doesn't
understand
or refuses to
since
he believes in us
in me
as I look out
for some street
to escape
to shake
his dreams away
