How to make a great baby scrapbook

Recently I learned some great new tips to share on how to make a great baby scrapbook. My sister had a baby so I've had the chance to try most of these myself. Below I included all of my baby scrapbooking ideas I hope you'll enjoy.

Start with the base of a store bought baby scrapbook or make your own with some colorful cardstock paper and ribbon. You'll need lots of empty pages once you're creativity starts flowing.

At any craft store you can find rubber stamps and ink. I found a baby footprint stamp and some pink ink. I made it look like my niece walked across one of the page. Then I used some pink card-stock paper to make a frame for my niece's first baby picture. I glued the frame and the picture together and then glued it down in the center of the page. The I took a black marker and a letter stencil to do her name at the top of the page. This makes a great first page to any baby scrapbook.

On some other pages I added printouts and cut outs of Winnie the Pooh, which is the theme my sister picked out for the baby. I drew him on some pages (which does take some artistic skill), I stenciled him on other pages, I bought stickers of him and placed those in, and also pasted down some of the printouts. Lastly, on a printout, I covered each body part of Winnie the Pooh(1 by 1) in glue. Each time I used a new color of glitter to cover him in and then let it dry. Then I move on to another part, glittered it, and then let it dry. It took awhile, but it was beautiful when it was done.

For some of the middle pages I got some tiny envelopes I glued into the pages. You can glue pictures onto the envelopes, as long as the flap can still open and close. Inside the envelopes you can put hospital wristbands, a first hair bow, pictures, his or her first curl, or any tiny trinkets from the birth that you want to keep.

On other pages I glued in some dried pressed flowers that people bought for my sister while she was in the hospital. I had to press them between a piece of computer paper in a separate book so that the baby book didn't get ruined by the dyes in the flowers. Wait until they are thoroughly dried, which might take a month or two, before adding them in.

On the last pages in the book I added pictures of everyone holding her- the baby's grandparents(mine and my sister's parents), me (her aunt), great aunts (mine and my sister's first aunts), great uncles(mine and my sister's first uncles), second cousins(mine and my sister's first cousins), great grandparents(mine and my sister's grandparents), and lastly my sister and brother-in-law holding her.

I hope you like my scrapbooking ideas and I hope that it helps you discover some new ideas of your own to use on your scrapbook.
