It is apparent in this era that slow and steady does not win the race. Every individual have to be competitive and have a good grasping quality when it comes to learning anything. Games such as chess and others give us a platform to incorporate this instinct. Playing chess requires a person to have all his consciousness of mind on the board and the opponent, as well as the moves made. Therefore it is a game that would test your ability to become alert and precise in moves.
There are many hobbies in our life which should be really appreciated since in a way or the other it is beneficial for us in every way. With development of world it is seen that small children are sent to day care centre since with the hope that the child may learn more than at home. How can that be possible? I believe our human brain always try to learn and implement everything that comes across us in our life. Therefore small children are sent to day care centre where they learn to play with other kids making their brain more prepared to the life that they would come across in years. That way a child can gain intelligence, consciousness and they can become more competent.
We are always confronted by challenges which need instant decision also keeping the pros and cons in mind. Even during the interview the interviewers check the presence of mind of any individual which is very difficult to attain. And while driving a car, you need to be conscious all the time about the traffic and things that come on your way, steering with alertness. These reflexes are not available in a dull person or someone who is not educated and these people will not be good player in chess. Pertaining to the above points, perhaps playing chess or some strategy games involving the maximum usage of your brains may be a good solution of increasing your intelligence and alertness.
While playing chess the calculative judgment thrown on the board becomes impossible to everyone because it takes time to learn these striking moves. There are also other games like the Rubens cube which definitely can be a test to judge a persons intelligence and ability to solve things. Therefore playing these games should not be termed as wastage of time and intelligence.
Chess requires a lot of concentration and the moves needs to be made fast without making any wrong judgment advantageous to the opponent. Even while staying idle during the turn of the opponent; it is obvious that you need to calculate the required steps in the next few turns. A good chess player can give a checkmate in fewer moves and can defend their pieces very well.
