Sasha Cohen one of the best figure skaters in the world was born the date of October 21,1984 in Westwood/California. Sasha's real name is Alexandra Pauline Cohen. Sasha had started skating at the age of seven before she came to ice skate she had done gymnastics all the way up to level five.

After Sasha's exquisite performance at 2000 US Nationals she had won her first silver medal. Sadly, Sasha had to miss the 2001 Nationals because of a serious back injury which took months off her skating.

Succeeding at the 2002 Nationals she had won another silver medal and a place on the 2002 Olympic team.In the 2002 Olympics Sasha was honored to be one of the few skaters getting to sit next to President Bush. Throughout her whole performance she was flawless except for her one fall on the three lutz/three toe combination.

Sasha set a great fourth place in both the Olympics and the world championships. Through the 2002 to 2003 season she won two Grand Prix events and two Pro-am Competitions. Later on in 2003-2004 Sasha had won all of her Grand Prix events. Sasha had finished the season with victory beating newly-crowned World Champion Shizuka Arakawa and Michelle Kwan.

Sasha started her 2004-2005 season with a debut of a bronze medal at the Campbell's skating challenge. In the end, she worked very hard to place third at the 2004 Marshall world cup. Sasha then earned her fourth national silver medal and her second world silver medal.

Sasha finally got her first US National Title which means now she is qualified for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy which had taken place from February10-26. Sasha never would have became this good without the help of her coach and choreographers John Nicks, Nikolai Morosov, Marina Soueva and Igor Shpilband.

The kind of boots and blades she has are Klingbeil and Goldseal. Her favorite jump and spin is the double axle and combination spins. Her favorite types of music are R and B and Pop. Her favorite artist is Justin Timberlake. Her favorite type of ice cream is coffee. Sasha loves to visit Paris.

Sasha's goals is to be first place in the World and Olympic competition. Another goal that she has her eye on is that she wants to be a fashion designer. But for now she will just stick to designing her own dresses. Her parents Galina and Roger both immigrated from Ukraine. Galina is now the spokesperson for the National Beef Association. Sasha also has a sister named Natasha who loves her very much.
