Love is like a burning seed.
Love is like a seed, stabbing into the heart,
spreading it's roots, poisoning from the start.
As thorns of fear quickly begin to grow,
some are called insecurity which start off slow.
Jealousy soon follows as the thorns entwine,
bleeding the heart like a bitter wine.
Soon you become fearful, like a scared little child,
alone in the dark while the outside is wild.
How did you get here? How do you leave?
Why did you ever wear that heart on your sleeve?
Questions upon questions, but no answers avail,
with your head in your hands, you begin to wail.
Why? Oh, why, is my chest so sore?
My heart's just spider webbed, cracked, and shattered on the floor.
Who will help me to pick up these pieces?
Who will even want to? My identity is now meaningless.
I'm the shadow of a man whom I once used to be,
Why? Oh, why, did I allow that seed to enter me?
Still, it is there now, no matter my pain,
only experience is there left to gain.
I was touched by love, that burning seed,
the one we each search for with a desperate need.
It poisoned my heart, my mind and my soul,
but without it in my life I would never have been whole.

A Prayer From The Soul
Anytime when with a girl,
I don't know what to say.
Thoughts dishevel in a whirl.
My soul begins to pray.

Leave me alone
Get out of my head
I don't want to like you
Did you hear what I said?
I shouldn't like you
But for some reason

Our eyes meet and our hands touch,
Our time we give, but a secret is must stay,
You give your love
