The article that I will write is more of a personal story. My experience when I was still in my teenage years. I was in my first year of college when I met this guy. For me he was perfect in everything. We became lovers and were both first timers when it comes to this kind of relationship. After months of being close to each other, we got kind of tempted to do things that we aren't supposed to be doing. It was just out of curiosity of the things that we could do beyond limits. Without further ado, we were in the verge of losing our future. I got pregnant at the age of 18. Panicked hit us! We were so terrified of the situation that we don't know what to do. We decided to abort the baby, but we don't whom to ask for help and where these operations being done. After too much thinking, we decided to have it, whatever it takes. But since I was so afraid of my parents, I didn't tell them that I am pregnant. At that time I was not with them, I was placed in a boarding house near our school. So I seldom went home especially at those times. For nine months that I had the baby in my womb, were the saddest and the happiest moment in my life. I was happy because I'll be having a baby from the love of my life. But sad to think that I wont be able to finish college and was so afraid to face my parents wrath. The only time that my parents knew that I was pregnant and will be having a baby is during my maternity, in the hospital. After that I lost the most significant people in my life. For two years, I was begging my mom to forgave me. She doesn't want to utter a single word to me, because for her, I ruined my future, which is true. After I gave birth, I went back to college as well as the father of my baby. We both finished college and got a job. Last August 2004 we got married.
Teenage pregnancy is a challenge to every teen. It's a difficult situation to combat when you are weak. When you are into it, you have no choice but to take responsibility of the consequences of your actions. Being intimate to your partner is not bad, but be sure that you know how to control your feelings and emotions. Once this situation happens, you are on your own. Just think of the future.
