Goes Mad...
And days like this
all alone and with the sun
hiding behind some
grey cloud in the sky.
The sidewalk like
a plate of endless stretching
The cars going by
without a care as to how or why
A person goes mad.
How many days
like this
Drift along like hollow eyes
glazing over those that'd died
And days like this
with a smoking gun and
a few smoking sons
spread amongst those of us that'd run
A person goes mad.
How many days
like this
Beat against the dead trees
wanting more money from
you and me.
And days like this
holding this wicked smirk
only wishing to hurt
the ones closest
the ones that can't
wait - give up
A person goes mad.
