Poetry: The sea

by Suja

Oceans of Reason

-

Sashaying into me

Creating a storm

Lifting my thoughts

Then throwing it out

Wanton and rhyme less

Leaving me speechless

I bear the burden

The travesty of it all

My mind, my eyes

My travails, my journey

Lively and eternal

Rising and then waning

Feeling, touching often

Gentle and graceful

An ocean in me rises

I seek, I persevere

Not wanting more, ever

Yet keeping still, time

The waves of reason

Every once and then

Calming the tide

Lashing on the rocks

Of gentle reason

I am but

An ocean lilting to it
