There are numerous Hollywood examples of younger men who are drawn to older women: Ashton Kutcher, Tim Robbins and David Arquette, to name just a few. There seems to be a trend with women in their mid- to late-thirties or older dating much younger men.

What drives these relationships of younger men with older women? How does it work? This article provides some reasons why some younger men are drawn to older women.

* Older women are just as, if not more, beautiful

While beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, it is not reserved for just the youth. Older women who take good care of themselves are often still just as gorgeous as they were when younger.

Many women in their thirties and forties will be the first to tell you that they feel more attractive than when they were younger. And, men notice!

There is something very attractive about maturity. Men find that older women are more comfortable in their own skin, and that helps them exude a certain kind of beauty.

* Men are attracted to the intelligence and confidence of an older woman

Some young guys get easily bored with females who are their own age. They find them silly, immature and sometimes shallow.

Such men are often attracted to older women who show their intelligence. These women are not afraid to show that they are smart. They are mature enough to handle a variety of situations, including being pursued by a man.

More than anything, most people gain more confidence as they grow older. This increased confidence in women of a certain age can really attract younger men.

* Mature women know what they want

Games are for kids, and sometimes they carry over into adulthood. However, certain older women may be less likely to play the dating games.

They know what they want, and do not want to waste time. For younger guys who are interested in a serious relationship, then this trait of older women can be hugely attractive.

* Older women are fun to be around

Older women have often developed their careers and hobbies. They have lives of their own, and do not look for a companion to be their lives.

This independence and development are very attractive to most men, including the younger ones. Instead of having a clinging vine for a girlfriend or wife, they are treated with a woman who has many interests and hobbies.

This type of relationship can work really well with young guys who are ambitiously pursuing their careers. A younger woman may not have as full of a life, and it may be tougher for her to accept the long hours the male spends at the office.

These are but a few of the reasons why some younger men are drawn to older women. There are some clear advantages to dating a woman who has grown more comfortable in herself and a bit less self-centered. Some younger guys have been lucky enough to figure that out!
