Rays of sunlight glimpse through the window,
And dance upon your skin,
As I place a kiss upon your wrinkled brow.
I watch each jagged breath you take,
Knowing soon they will end.
Gently holding your fragile hand in mine,
I whisper, "It's ok to let go, Grandpa."
Tears roll down my cheeks,
As I lie my head upon your now bony chest.
A body, so lifeless now,
Was once filled of so much life.
Yet, I know somehow,
You know that I am there.
I know somehow that you are saying,
"Goodbye, my granddaughter."

Poetry: Good-bye
by Jon Coe
Bring me my slippers and bring me my pipe
I'm off to retirement, had enough of the hype
Turn on the television and pour
by Sierra White
I cannot say,
It won't come out,
I wish it were far away,
But the time has come,
For us to part,
And I'll just sob and
The time is here to leave this place, never to return.
Everyone, they make mistakes, and this is how they learn.
The struggles
Petals wade through air
Something more permanent remains:
Leaves
But everlasting are the roots
That we grew here
Together.
Don’t
It wasn't working for you but I was content
It wasn't good enough, so away I went
You lied about us and the way I made you
