Ahhh! How beautiful is the Christian faith, and its simplicity.
The Christian faith rests on the words of Christ, saying, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11: 28-30.
How beautiful it is...this invitation of Jesus for all to place our deepest concerns, our deepest pain into His hands as a step toward a new beginning; a life that is apart from being weary in well doing...casting our burdens upon Him, and leaving them there.
This is nothing short of making possible a distinctive personal relationship with the One who freed us from the wages of sin when He laid down His life, and afforded us a 'new' one with His unconditional love, and the simplicity of learning not to lean on our own understanding...learning not to murmur, or complain. For, He knows our struggles, and have witnessed lives being made bitter with hard bondage.
Christian faith is not of this world...for what can be seen is temporal...earthly. Hebrews 11:1 speaks of the power of faith: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." The 3rd verse states, "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." Verse 6; "But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him."
The beauty of simplicity is doing what we can, with what we have, where we are, and have joy IN it. Not taking anything away from those who are ambitious, or are dreamers who struggle to succeed in this life. Simplicity is a beautiful state of mind in all areas of life and living. During the most difficult of times, the Christian faith exudes love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5: 22-23.
The Christian faith is encouraged to 'Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.' Galatians 5:1
Once a Christian's faith is secured, they become as His disciples, as He spake unto them saying, 'All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of
