How to get your leapfrog approved

When we begin to consider how to get your leapfrog approved on Helium, it is perhaps advisable that we first of all consider what the leapfrog facility actually is and why we should wish to utilise it to what will hopefully be our benefit.

Leapfrog is essentially the facility on Helium which allows a Helium writer to attempt to replace an article he or she has written with either an amended version of the same article, or a new article altogether but written to the same title. There are several reasons why a writer on Helium would wish to leapfrog an article. It may be that the article is out of date and the specific circumstances or events around which it was written have changed, it may be that the writer wishes to include more - or more detailed - information in the article, or as is most likely to be the case, it may be that the article is not featuring particularly highly in the rankings and the writer wishes to improve its standing by amendingand improving upon certain parts of it.

Considering how to get your leapfrog approved therefore begins with determining precisely what is wrong with the old article and precisely what you wish to achieve when writing the new article. Take a note of these reasons and write the new article paying particular attention to what may be a list of several points of attention and take the opportunity to comb through it, several times, after you have done so, to ensure that you have eliminated the dead wood and added at least something which you believe to be of additional intrinsic value. After all, if we do not believe that the new article is significantly better than the old one, why should we expect others on Helium to think so?

As you are combing through the new article, do not forget about such as spelling and grammar in your haste to ensure you have included superior content. It may very well be the case that it was spelling or grammatical errors in the old article which caused it to be rated particularly low!

It is only when you have completed your content check, ensured that the new article is of greater value than the old one and you are entirely happy in all these respects that you should submit the leapfrog in the hope that those who come to rate it will favour it against the original article and ensure that the leapfrog is approved. This provides us with the best possible chance of success in achieving what we set out to achieve.
