Helium has been recognised for quite some time now as one of the top article writing sites on the Web, if not in fact the top one. It has allowed writers to write to an all but endless variety of subjects in its comprehensive and extremely well organised categories and it has allowed writers to suggest new article titles in the instances where they are unable to find an existing title to which to write. Helium has also allowed its writers to participate in article writing competitions in the hope of winning cash prizes and to submit articles for the consideration of external publishers who advertise for same in exchange for specified payments.

Helium has recently, however, launched a brand new concept on its site. Helium Zones are in essence miniature Web pages which can be created by Helium writers on any of their favourite subjects and for a wide variety of different purposes. Helium writers may wish to create a zone on their favourite recipes; they may wish to create one on their favourite travel destination; they may simply wish to create a Helium Zone upon which to showcase their Helium articles. These are just some ideas as to how Helium writers can utilise this magnificent new facility.

Helium Zones can also be used, however, as an extremely effective promotional tool by Helium writers. This can of course relate simply to their articles as described above but it can equally relate to them as individuals and the various presences which they have online, or it can relate to their business and the products and services which they offer. Helium Zones afford a plethora of wonderful opportunities to Helium writers, established or new, and represent surely the most exciting development on Helium for some considerable time.

Helium Zones are accessed from the writer's, "My Helium," page and are built using a series of building blocks. These blocks range from textual blocks (which incorporate HTML,) to photographic blocks, to blocks where the writer can sell products through such as Amazon in order to hopefully obtain some income from affiliate sales. There are very specific Zone Guidelines which must be followed, however, and the first zone created by each writer is subject to manual approval.

Whenever the Helium writer is building a Helium Zone, they should consider the bigger picture of what they are trying to achieve and think of each component part as one piece in the jigsaw puzzle. Relevant content only should be included and this will not only make the Helium Zone more likely to be approved but improve its standing in the eyes of the search engines. SEO is of course a big consideration when building any form of page on the Web.

If we build our Helium Zone correctly, it can not only serve as an extremely beneficial promotional tool for us or our business but it can become a very effective source of information for visitors from both Helium itself and around the wider reaches of the Web. The benefits in this way are therefore limited to a great extent only by the stretches of the writer's imagination.
