"Twilight", everyone has been raving and talking about the books, the movie and Edward and Bella. Everyone that is, except me, and only because I had thought it was a young adult modern vampire romance. I made a mental note to check it out and watch it when I had time; when I finally found the time to watch it, I was blown away!
I've had Twilight for three weeks and I've watched it 65 times. Twilight is one of the best fantasy/vampire movies I've seen or read, which by the way, I've read the books at least 12 times each. Stephanie Meyers is without a doubt, a fantastic writer; she pulls her audience into the heart of the story as she weaves her fantastic tale of forbidden romance. The music score and cast of characters for Twilight was great. I heard "Surpermassive Black Hole" during the baseball game, "Bella's Lullabye" during the scene in the tree tops after Edward scaled the tall trees with Bella on his back and while he played it on the piano. I heard "Flightless Bird American Mouth" during the slow dance in the last scene and I totally love all three of these songs.
"Supermassive Black Hole", by Muse, "Flightless Bird", by Iron and Wine, and "Bella's Lullabye", by Robert Pattinson, is a song that Robert wrote in two hours. The music score is one of the best I've heard in a long time, and I'm looking foward to the second movie's music score; it's going to be hard to beat the music in "Twilight".

Edward Cullen (Rob Pattinson) the tall, gorgeous 17 year old vampire (in vampire years), who wants nothing more than to kill Bella and drink her blood. He has never been affected by the smell of a huma's blood like he is when he's near Bella. Despite the hate he feels toward Bella at first for making him want her so badly and the almost over powering urge to kill her and drink her blood, Edward begins to have feeling for this beautiful, clumsy human and falls in love with her. Edward was "turned" by a vampire, Carlisle, (who later became his father) in 1908 when Edward was dying from Spanish Influenza. After becoming a vampire, Edward discovers he has the unique ability to read the minds of others. He is also the fastest vampire, able to run up the side of a house to the second story in 1/2 of a second and he can move so fast that he can't be seen by the human eye. Despite every effort to distance himself from Bella for her own safety, Edward falls in love with her. He wants to protect Bella from danger, especially the danger of being alone with him, but soon finds he can be near her and not hurt her because of the deep love he feels for her.
Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is the beautiful, clumsy trouble magnet who moves to Forks, Washington to live with her dad, Charlie, the town sheriff. Her mother has remarried and wants to travel with her minor league baseball playing husband, so Bella decides to go live with her dad in Forks so her mom can be happy. Within a few weeks of moving to Forks, Bella notices a differnce between the Cullens and other people. Through rumors, folklore and research, Bella comes to realize what Edward is, but it's too late, she's already in love with Edward, despite the fact that he is a vampire.
Charlie (Billy Burke) is Bella's father. Even though he's not able to express his feeligs for his daughter, he does love her and worry about her. He's a quiet man who serves as the town's Sheriff; two murders close to home keeps him busy trying to track down the animal responsible for the two brutal murders. A long time friend of Charlie's is one of the murder victims which makes Charlie all the more determined to find his friends killer. Charlie has no way of knowing that three vampires are behind the death of the two men or that his only child is in love with a vampire.
Emmet Cullen (Dellan Lutz) one of Edward's teenage vampire brothers who was fatally wounded by a bear, was rescued and carried 100 miles by a vampire, Edwards sister, Rosalie. She ends up as his soulmate for eternity and is happy that she finally found someone who appreciates her beauty. Laid back and seemingly gentle, Emmet is the strongest vampire of them all, but uses his super strength wisely. He can't understand what Edward could possibly see in a human because he has the most beautiful partner of all, Rosalie. Emmet's favorite animal to hunt and eat is bear, since a bear is what killed him when he was human.
Rosalie Cullen (Nikki Reed) is Edward's beautiful teenage vampire sister who finds the human, Emmet, in the woods after a vicious bear attack, hanging on to life by a thread. She carries him 100 miles to her father, Carlisle, who is a doctor. The natural instinct to drink the blood of a human shows the strength Rosalie had when she resisted killing Emmet by drinking his blood to satisfy her thirst. She knew Emmet was special, and she eventually falls in love with him. Rosalie is an ace car mechanic and is either souping up cars at home or working on her fashion designing. Convinced that Edward should have been dazzled by her beauty but instead falls in love with a plain human girl, Rosalie takes an instant dislike to Bella and makes no effort to hide her feelings.
Alice Cullen (Ashley Green)is the pixie like, cute, friendly and happy teenage vampire sister that can foresee the future through other peoples thoughts. Alice is very fond of Bella and has seen the future life that Bella will have: Bella will be Alice's best friend and she will become a vampire. Alice has found her soulmate in Jasper, the vampire she needs to constantly monitor as he is new to being a vegetarian and still has a hard time being around the smell of human blood. When a crisis occurs, however, it's Alice and Jasper who protect and shelter Bella from a vicious vampire who is tracking her to get back at Edward.
Jasper Cullen (Jackson Rathbone) another teenage vampire brother, has been a vampire since the ninetenth century, but is new at being a vegetarian. Vegetarian meaning they don't drink human blood, only the blood of animals. Jasper has a hard time not reacting to the smell of human blood, but Alice keeps a close watch over his thoughts to prevent him from acting on his thoughts. Jasper is in love with Alice and would do anything to keep her safe, even if it means killing Bella so she can't expose what they really are. Jasper is told by Alice that she would be very upset with him if anything happened to Alice by his hand; she has seen the future with Bella as her best friend and is starting to love Bella too. Jasper won't do anything that would hurt or dissapoint Alice, so he agrees not to harm Bella.
Carlisle Cullen (Peter Facinelli) is the father of the vampire family, husband to Esme and local doctor for the small town of Forks, Washington. When Rosalie brought Emmet to Carlisle, he realized that he couldn't save him due to the fatal wounds from the bear attack. Knowing Emmet was dying, Carlisle turned him into a vampire to save him. Carlisle is gentle and has been conditioned over the years to not react to the smell of human blood. Edward was the first human Carlisle turned, his wife Esme was the second. Rosalie was abused and murdered by men and was turned by Carlisle. She found Emmet and brought him to her now "father", Carlisle who turned Emmet when he realized he couldn't save him. Alice didn't remember where she had come from, she just showed up one day with Jasper and made Carlisle the father of five teenage vampire children. Gentle and kind, Carlisle loved his wife and family deeply and because Edward loved Bella, Bella was protected and made to feel part of the Cullen family.
Esme Cullen (Elizabeth Reaser) is the gentle, sweet, loving mother of the vampires; as Edward puts it nicely, "Esme is the heart of their family". Seeing the inner turmoil that Edward is suffering, Esme assures him he will find true love and happiness. Esme sees that Edward is falling in love with Bella and that he's happy. Esme loves her family dearly, and if Bella is what Edward wants and she makes him happy then Esme will love Bella too. Esme and Carlisle are still as much in love after 80 years as they were when they first met, just like Rosalie and Emmet and Alice and Jasper. Esme hopes Bella will become Edwards soulmate, thus making four perfectly matched couples who are all deeply in love.
Laurent (Edi Gathegi), Victoria (Rachelle Levevre) and James (Cam Gigandet) are the vampires who have been killing humans in the area where the Cullens live; after intruding on a family baseball game high on a mountain, the three vampires find out Bella is a human. Laurent and Victoria are part of James' coven and know that James wants to hunt down and kill Bella because of Edward's actions toward him. James leaves the other to behind and starts to track Bella.
Mike (Michael Welch), Eric (Justin Chon), Jessica (Anna Kendrick), Angela (Christian Serratos) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) are all an integral part of the movie; Jacob will play a huge role in the next movie and he is also in love with Bella. Jacob's family has a hidden secret that could end Jacob's and Bella's friendship; Jacob's family are wolves. The wolves and the vampires are mortal enemies, and because Bella loves Edward and Jacob, Bella finds herself in the middle of an ancient war between the two bitter enemies.
This movie is definitly five star in my opinion; if you haven't seen "Twilight" yet, check it out! It really does rock!
