Helium has many ways in which it's writers can earn extra money. One of those ways is the $1.00 bonus for writing to an empty title. This can be quite lucrative if you know how to find those titles which have not been written to yet. These titles seem to be hidden to those that don't know what to look for.
Here are a few tips to help you find the elusive empty titles:
My Helium Page
Helium staff have made it very easy to find those titles. Not all titles are listed here, but it's a great starting point. The first area is near the bottom of the page. It list the Channel and title of the article on the page. You can check to see if the title has been written to simply by clicking on it. If someone has already written to it, it will appear. Otherwise, you will get the box for writing the article.
There is another area on this page to find these titles. Scroll down the page as you look to the right hand side. You will see a block with several different links on it. It states that writers are wanted for that channel. When you click on the links, it will take you to those pages that writing is needed the most on. There are several titles under each of these categories that need it's first writer. You may check to see if anyone else has written to it yet in the same method as above.
Title Finder
You can find this link on the left hand side of nearly every member page. You can type in the criteria that you are looking for and then click on the empty title only button to sort them out. You will then be given a list of all the articles with your criteria that have empty titles to them.
Suggest a Title
If there is a subject that you would like to write about but can't find it anywhere, you can suggest the title to Helium for approval. When you get the email that it has been approved, you can then upload your article to that title to be the first one to write to it. You should only do this if you have a unique idea for a title that isn't found anywhere else on the site. Do not randomly attempt to add new titles that already have a sufficient one to write to.
Visit Channels
You can easily find empty titles by visiting the separate channels. At the bottom of each page you will find a "writers wanted" box. None of those articles have been written to as of yet. This is a great way to get to titles that others have not found yet. Not all channels have empty titles. Don't get discouraged. Continue searching through the channels and you will soon find them.
Contests
All of the contests start with fresh titles. Look through those to find suitable subjects that you would like to write to. There are three ways to earn money with this method. You get the empty title bonus if you are the first one to write to the title. You get the upfront money if it is an eligible channel and you could win one of the prizes. That doesn't include any "click" money that you will earn from it.
Empty titles are everywhere. You just have to look around a bit to find them all. This can be a very lucrative business if you choose wisely those titles that suit your style and knowledge. Don't forget that although these titles may be listed as empty, someone may have already written to them. Always double check it to ensure that it is indeed an empty title at the time you write it. These titles are updated every twenty four hours to reflect only empty titles. Good luck in finding what you are looking for.
