There are a lot of ads online that claim a person can make hundreds of dollars each day writing short articles. While it is possible to earn money online daily writing articles, the truth is you are not going to earn any astronomical amounts on a daily basis. I am a full time freelance writer. I write around 12 articles each day, and by each day I mean every day. I do not take a day off and if I do I write a few extra pieces each day to make up for the time off. I make around $300 a week for my efforts. I invest at least 4 hours a day if not more writing, and that does not include the time I spend researching topics. If there is a way to earn a few hundred dollars a day, I simply haven't found it yet.
When considering writing for a living or to supplement your income, you need to keep in mind that in order to generate a steady form of income you must not limit yourself to writing for only one company. You will need to submit content to several websites each day to generate daily revenue. I might not earn a huge amount every day, but by spreading my efforts out I am able to earn a nice monthly page view bonus and my earnings add up to about what I would earn as a wage at a standard job. I will admit I probably devote more time to my writing than I would if I just went out and got a standard job.
In order to really earn money, you need to write about topics that are of interest to other people. The more people that read your articles will mean more money in your account. Keywords are an important part of the writing process and choosing the right keywords can make a huge difference in your earnings.
The truth about writing online articles is that yes you can earn decent money, but it is not an overnight process. You need to establish yourself as a writer, have great keywords and focus on topics that are frequently searched for or genuinely valuable to other people. You are not going to earn a small fortune on any given day, but you can earn a nice chunk of change. Writing is its own type of work. Sometimes I think that using my brain and imagination is harder work than doing a general labor job. As the old saying goes "Nothing is free". That includes money. To earn money as a writer you legitimately need to put forth an effort and be willing to research the topics you write about.
Writing comes naturally to some, and there are many people who will find their niche and an audience. These people will find the most success as a writer.
