The dangers of leaving your child alone in the car

It begs to ask the question why would anyone this day and age even consider leaving a child in a car alone?

There are so many reasons why this is dangerous and unsafe.

I do not think it makes much difference what age the child is as it is so unsafe, you have to think for the spilt second or however long you are away from the car,the car could be hit by another vehicle injuring or killing the child.

Someone may come along and try and steal the car with no care what so ever for the child inside, which could land up with the child being taken or the child thrown out of the car.

we also hear of from time to time of paedophiles just waiting and lurking around for an opportunity like this to snatch or drive the child away and I need not say too much more about what may happen to the child after that as we all know what type of things these people do to children.

Also when they have finished with the children will they let them live,I know it is not a nice thing to think about but these things go on all the time.

We also know that when children are left on their own, they get up to all kinds of mischief and like to copy what parents and adults do.Can you imagine the thrill the child will get from sitting in the drivers seat like the grown ups do.

Yes I can see them now playing with the steering wheel trying to change the gears and yes taking off the hand break and before you know it the car is moving right into the back of another car or in the path of on coming traffic or even running down and killing a pedestrian

Then what are you left with?An injured or dead child not to mention the injury's and damage to the other party or parties involved.

Another danger leaving a child alone in a car is in the event of a fire,it is quite possible in some cases for a car to catch fire. You may be some distance away from the car ,there may be no one around and the child is killed or badly burnt for life. when a car starts to burn it can be a matter of minutes before the whole car is engulfed in flames and the petrol tank explodes.

What I am saying may seem to some people to be extreme, but never the less these things are all possible of happening

In my opinion I just do not think it is wise or safe to leave a child in a car alone, this is not a toy but a very powerful machine which when not handled properly by a experienced driver can be dangerous and deadly much less to be left at the hands of a child
