Poetry: Rest in peace

by Paula Countryman

Created on: April 23, 2009

Rest in peace my sweet troubled mother

Sleep now, for sleep is good

Happiness escaped you while you lived

It shall overwhelm you soon

Your eyes will twinkle, your laughter will burst forth

Can't wait to see you again Mommy

For even though you were unhappy

I miss you so.
